Gold Awareness Day
Did you know that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month?
Gold Awareness Day is on 12th September 2011 and we encourage as many as possible to wear something gold to school or to work in support of children with cancer, and to raise awareness.
There are so many ways you can help during September...
- Get yourself a Gold Ribbon Awareness pin and wear it on your lapel for everyone to see
- Arrange with your employer to let employees Wear Gold to work to acknowledge Child Cancer Awareness Day. In return, collect a donation from each participant for the Be Child Cancer Aware campaign (your employer may even want to match the employee contributions)
- Ask your local school to get involved. Encourage schools to order our Fabric Gold Ribbons which have been designed with children's safety in mind. Children love to be able to dress up or dress down at school. They can take part in Wear Gold and in return make a small donation.
